For the second time in 2010, Newton County officials have missed turning in the required paperwork to receive state funding.
Chairman Morgan blamed this on the changeover of county personnel.
Our county has, in order to balance its budget, just cut services. Employees not filling out paperwork in time to receive money back from the state is unacceptable and inexcusable.
After twice coming up short in this matter, we hope that plans put in place will ensure that it doesn't happen again.
