We are glad to see the Covington City Council is taking a slow and cautious approach to naming an airport authority.

Covington City Manager Steve Horton is right in his assessment that the city itself should know some of the fine points on running an airport before it turns it over to a group that will be as potentially powerful as this one.

The Covington airport is a vital tool in the economic growth of our city and we commend our city leaders for their slow but sure approach to its management.
