Volunteerism and community service is a core value of The Covington News. BB&T is also a company who wants share their time and talent with those in need.

The Lighthouse Project of BB&T gives employees time away from work to volunteer as well as financial assistance for local nonprofits.

The Covington branch chose to assist with the Back 2 School Block Party and give aid to the Repairers of the Breach Food Pantry.

Their work should be commended and emulated by other businesses in our community.
