Every man should be born again on the first day of January. Start with a fresh page. Take up one hole more in the buckle if necessary, or let down one, according to circumstances; but on the first of January, let every man gird himself once more, with his face to the front, and take no interest in the things that were and are past.
~Henry Ward Beecher
As we start this year, we believe the words of Henry Ward Beecher say it all.
We have much positive progress ahead of us in 2013; it will take renewed energy and involvement by all to see that our county grows and prospers.
We have the tools; we now need the will.
We wish all of newly elected officials the will to lead and we urge you the reader to get up out of that easy armchair and help them do it.
Here at The Covington News, we look forward to embracing that concept. We believe there is a bright future for our industry and for our community.
From all of us here at the paper we wish you a prosperous and healthy 2013.
