“God could not be everywhere, and therefore he made mothers.”
—Rudyard Kipling
We watched an ad this week that showed a man interviewing teenagers for a job, telling them the job required them to work seven days a week, 24 hours a day. The job offered no holidays, and you had to work even harder at Thanksgiving and Christmas. We were left wondering what kind of job this was and who would want it.
It turns out it was an ad produced by American Greetings cards and the job that was open was being a mother. It was funny for sure, but it wasn’t far from the complete truth.
When the good Lord created mothers, he instilled in them special radar that connected them forever to their children.
Moms just have a special love that as much as fathers may try, they cannot copy.
Your mom is probably the only person that you will ever know that will love you unconditionally; your mom may disappoint you from time to time and you may disappoint your mom.
In the end it doesn’t matter. The love between a mother and her child just will never be broken.
We salute all of our mothers today. We hope you enjoy a great family day and know that today is just a day that we officially let you know we love you. The truth is we love you forever and a day always.
