From all reports of recent test scores, it looks like we are starting to turn the corner in our public schools here in Newton County.

All we have ever asked of our school system is improvement, and Mathews, his staff and our teachers have set the wheels in motion.

We are encouraged by the steady improvement, and we endorse the efforts being put in by all involved. Our children's future and our county's future depends on these efforts.
