We are glad to welcome to our community Virginia-based sheet metal fabricator StampTech. Thanks for deciding to come here. StampTech announced it will open a new plant in Newton County by mid April.

StampTech is expected to spend $40 million on equipment and facilities and when the build out is complete and the plant is up and operating, employ 40 employees.

StampTech CFO Ken Horner praised the working relationship the company has had with both Shannon Davis and Roger Harrison from the Newton County Chamber of Commerce. The chamber also held ribbon cuttings this past week for Amesbury Extruded Products and Palmetto Automatic Sprinkler Company - two companies which have also recently located in our county.

It is encouraging to see new businesses choose Newton County as their homes. With new businesses come new jobs and more money to spend on local goods and services. A new business gives a ray of encouragement to all of us.

We offer special praise for both Shannon Davis and Roger Harrison for their efforts in this process. We look forward with anticipation to their further successes.
