We have a problem with the government spying on U.S. citizens, something our government has recently been accused of doing.
We don’t have a problem with our government keeping an eye on other countries, both friends and foes.
We read this week that European leaders are considering denying the United States access to tools that help us keep track of money that supports terrorism.
One of the biggest complainers about our snooping is Germany, which is enjoying a great economy right now, due, in part, to our military bases located there.
Our suggestion is that we close the bases in Germany, bring our troops home, build some bases here and let Germany’s economy suffer while ours begins to prosper again.
Again, just a small thought.
