There has been much debate and concern about what entity should be placed in charge of the new Nelson Heights Community Center. We think that the suggestion that the Newton County Recreation Commission be in charge of running the center is a good one and a sound one.

The recreation department has proven itself by running first-class facilities.

Having the recreation department controlling this facility should keep politics out of it, which would ensure the center achieves its purpose of being a safe and clean place for which residents of the area can be proud.
