We hope you had a good start to 2012. In our weekend story on the annual Legislative breakfast, the Gremlins ate part of the story. The full story is in today’s paper
This annual event, which is Friday at 7 a.m. at the Turner Lake complex, is free and open to the public. This year’s speaker is Dick Yarbrough, a well-known Georgia columnist and lecturer who appears weekly in The News.
The Rev. Maria Church Johnson, pastor of Richards Chapel United Methodist Church will conduct the opening prayer and the Rev. Jan McCoy, associate pastor of the First United Methodist Church, will deliver the benediction.
We want to thank the Friday morning prayer group, the Rotary and Kiwanis clubs and Chick-fil-A for sponsoring the event and providing the food. Our thanks also go out to Tommy Hailey and his crew for setting up and providing the meeting room.
Come out and enjoy a light breakfast, coffee and good fellowship. The event will end at 8:30.
