Dear Editor: What's happened to Mr. Harwell's column? His thought-provoking words surely made us think, and what a true red, white and blue American he is. I'm hoping he's on a family vacation and this empty space is temporary.

Reading his weekly writings was one of the reasons I subscribed to The Covington News. Reading about robbery, rapes, stealing and child abuse and even murder in our community is depressing, to say the least. A breath of fresh air was a welcome Mr. Harwell provided. Some may not agee with him on all levels, but you have to admit he was always clear.

Thank you for hearing a voice of just one of many who wonder where's Mr. Harwell.
