Upset about CAC

Dear Editor: After reading the story about the Covington Athletic Club in The News dated Feb. 7, there was no way that I could not respond. As a member of that club for 15 years, it was indeed like a place where you felt like family when you entered, with a staff that was the greatest and the friends that were made there were priceless.

I am not only upset that the club closed but that the owner had seen fit to take new and renewed membership money from customers knowing very well that he was in trouble and that we would be left with no club, and as a senior citizen who paid yearly, there would be no return of our money for many members.

Many of us who used the pool needed that type of water workout due to the many medical issues we face. Yes, I guess we will all move on, but the fact still remains that a very important part of Covington, the CAC, is gone and so is all the money our citizens paid to try to stay healthy.
