Letter: Georgia legal community mourns loss of Greg Pope
Letters

To the Editor:

On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I would like to express condolences to the family, colleagues and many friends of W. Gregory “Greg” Pope, founder of the Pope Law Firm P.C. in Covington, on his recent and very untimely passing.

During his distinguished career of nearly 22 years in the legal profession, Mr. Pope earned a stellar reputation for representing disabled and injured clients in worker’s compensation cases. He also served eight years as a Newton County Magistrate Court judge and was a valued member of the Board of Governors of the State Bar of Georgia, representing the Alcovy Judicial Circuit.

Greg Pope’s exemplary lifetime of service is an inspiration to all Georgia lawyers. We are appreciative of his many generous contributions to the State Bar and to the cause of justice in our state. He will be missed and remembered.

Sincerely,

Brian D. “Buck” Rogers

President, State Bar of Georgia
