Mr. William M. Holder, 86, passed away Friday, Sept. 14, in Conyers.

Mr. Holder was born on January 29, 1926, in Bainbridge, son of Wade Jefferson Holder and Alice McClellan Holder. He owned and operated several service stations throughout his life. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served in World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Holder, and son William Holder.

Survivors include his daughters and son in law Carol and Jimmy Foster of Smyrna, Wanda Holder of Oxford; sisters Ann Claxton of Powder Springs, Alice Patterson of Atlanta; grandchildren Holly Holder, Jason Foster, Harry Holder, Kimberly Holder, Bettie Holder; great grandchildren, Ian Goss, Spencer Crawford, Melody Goss.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 18, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Moody Funeral Home. Rev. Terry Butler will officiate. Burial will follow in Moody Memorial Gardens.

Friends may visit the family on Tuesday from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
