Mr. Thomas Marion Davis, Sr., age 86, of Oxford passed away Saturday, June 28, 2014.  He was born February 14, 1928 in Monticello to Thomas E. and Ruby Mitcham Davis.  Mr. Davis was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, AARP Chapter 2265, a Mason and member of Golden Fleece Lodge #6 in Covington.  He was retired from General Motors after a long career.  Mr. Davis was a loving husband to his wife Mrs. Mary Frances Davis who preceded him in death on April 5, 2010.  He was also preceded in death by his sister Ann Allen.  Mr. Davis was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.  

Mr. Davis is survived his son and daughter-in-law; Tommy and Dianne Davis of Covington; daughters and sons-in-law; Colleen and Warren Christian and Donna and Rodney Bankston all of Oxford his four grandchildren; Tiffany and Rick Rasmussen, Christy and Kelly Layson, Ashley and Rick Corley and Dallas and Kristi Christian his eight great grandchildren; Emma, Kate, Michael, Mary Elizabeth, Alexa, Ava, Tripp and With.  He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other family and close friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Davis will be held at 11 o’clock, Monday, June 30, 2014 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son with Reverend Richard Culpepper officiating.  The family will receive friends from 2:00pm until 4:00pm on Sunday, June 29, 2014 at the funeral home.  J.C.
