Sarah Adams, of Covington, went to be with her Savior on June 18, 2017, at 81 years of age.  Born May 29, 1936, to Stewart and Lucy Marcum Duty, who have preceded her in death, she was originally from Chapmanville, WV.  Mrs. Adams was a member of the New Life Praise Center and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Charley F. Adams; her parents; two brothers; and six sisters. 

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Mary Sue Adams; grandchildren, Johnny and Tannis Adams, Justin and Tiffany Adams, Jordan Adams; great-grandchildren, Charleigh, Levi, Emma Grace; sisters and brothers-in-law, Brookie Casey, Lucille and Jay Hadden, Carrie Meade, Joan and Bud Ferguson, Janet and Roy Chambers, Bonnie and Larry Haley, Patsy Parsons; brothers and sisters-in-law, Harrison and Rose Duty, Bobby and Wanda Vanderpool; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Adams will be held Wednesday, June 21, 2017, 2 p.m., at New Life Praise Center, 3144 Stone Mountain St., in Covington, with Pastor Alan James and Pastor Justin Adams officiating.  Friends may visit with the family at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, Covington, Tuesday, June 20, from 6 – 8 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to New Life Praise Center. 

In addition, a Funeral Service for Mrs. Adams will be held Friday, June 23, 2017, 1 p.m., at Freeman Funeral Home, 220 Main Ave., Chapmanville, WV, with interment following in Highland Memory Gardens, 42 Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery Rd., Pecks Mill, West Virginia.  Friends may visit with the family at Freeman Funeral Home, one hour prior to the service, from 12 – 1 p.m.
