Sara Frances (Doodie) Cook, 81, of Covington, passed away Nov. 19. Mrs. Cook would have celebrated her 66th wedding anniversary Nov. 21. She was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed cooking for her family. Mrs. Cook was preceded in death by her parents Hyatt and Nanny Mae Bowen of Covington.

Surviving are husband Raymond J. Cook; sons and daughters-in-law Stan and Peggy Cook, Gary and Brenda Cook, Frank and Vickie Cook, Marty and Stacey Cook, all of Covington; 17 great-grandchildren; 10 grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; sisters Thelma Hawkins, Margaret Johnson, both of Covington; brother Joel Bowen of Virginia; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. today, Nov. 21, at Lawnwood Memorial Park with Pastor Robert L. Nash officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Apostolic Community Church, P.O. Box 607, Porterdale, Ga. 30070.
