Sara Ellen Dobbs, of Covington, passed away Thursday, Jan. 10, 2019, at the age of 88. Mrs. Dobbs was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church where she enjoyed worshipping and participating in activities. In her spare time, she delighted in reading and gardening. Mrs. Dobbs centered her life around both faith and family. She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Dobbs; parents, T.R. and Rilla Brookins.

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Carol Dobbs Fountain (David), Kay Dobbs Bell (James), Kathy Dobbs Reinhard (Ken); son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Melanie Dobbs; grandchildren and their spouses, Michelle and Jeff Bost, Michael and Amy Mitchell, Kristy and Richard Olds, Brooks and Rochelle Dobbs, Travis and Melanie Bell, Brad and Amy Dobbs, Jessica Reinhard; great-grandchildren, Austin, Daniel, Marti, Ty, Hunter, Drew, Paxton, Parker, Oliver; sister, Annelle Harrison; as well as several nieces and nephews. 

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Dobbs was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, at Shiloh United Methodist Church, 10 Almon Church Road, in Covington, with the Rev. Mike Wadley and the Rev. Ronnie Capes officiating and interment in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Flowers are accepted, or donations may be made to Shiloh United Methodist Church Building Fund, 10 Almon Church Road, Covington, Georgia.
