Mrs. Sandra Diane Womack of Porterdale, died Monday, Aug. 6, at her home. She was born on March 12, to Edward and Mildred Thompson.

She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother; she loved gardening and had the greenest thumb you have ever seen. She also enjoyed sewing and taking care of the neighbor children.

Mrs. Womack is survived by her loving husband of 40 years James Womack; mother Mildred Thompson of Loganville; daughter and son-in-law Wendy and Frank Ballard of Covington; daughter Michelle Barrington of Covington; son Christopher Womack of Porterdale; daughter Stacy Marks of Covington; brother Edward Thompson of Loganville; sisters Marsha Wells of Lawrenceville, Lula Stevens of Loganville, Sheila Arrington of Loganville; grandchildren Justin, Johnathan and Jacob Hochmuth, Terry McKenna, Elizabeth Womack, Kira, Makiya and Mariah Marks; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father Edward Thompson, son Harold Womack, daughters Tammy Daniels and Lisa Womack, sisters Lorraine Thompson and Beatrice Tant.

Services were held yesterday, Aug. 11 at the Chapel of Wheeler Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Wilson officiating. Interment followed at Lawnwood Memorial Park.
