Sandra Smith, 69, of Mansfield passed away Nov. 30, 2013. Ms. Smith worked 48 years for Yates Insurance Agency as an agent and office manager. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, especially at the beach, and was an avid NASCAR fan. Ms. Smith was preceded in death by her parents, Branson Farr and Jessie Dean Smith, grandson James Harley Smith, great-grandson Justin Chase Moon, and sister Betty Faye Smith.

Survivors include her daughter, Judi Smith of Conyers, brother and sister-in-law, Charles Randall and Pamela Smith of Decatur Ill.;grandchildren Brandi Moon and Sherri Nelson; great-grandchildren, Simberli, Bryan, Tristan and Dakota; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services for Ms. Smith were held at 2 p.m. Dec. 3 in the chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home with Pastor Tony Howeth officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105 - 1-800-822-6344.
