Ruth Ricks, of Covington, passed away on Jan. 17, 2014, at the age of 79. Her favorite thing to do was to watch old western movies. She also loved working in her yard, taking care of her flowers. When she was able, she enjoyed fishing, camping and sewing. Mrs. Ricks was preceded in death by her first husband, Aaron Ricks; and parents, James W. and Winfred (Saxon) Bruce.

Survivors include her husband, William Robinson of Covington; daughters and sons-in-law, JoAnn and Carl Chancey of Conyers, Deborah and Charles Pitts of Covington; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; sisters, Jan Mitchell and Jackie Sheriff; brothers, Gene Bruce, Hoyt Bruce, and Edsel Bruce; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service for Mrs. Ricks will be held at 2 p.m. Jan. 20 at Honey Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, in Conyers.

The family will receive friends at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 3134 Floyd St., from 4-8 p.m. Jan. 19.
