Rose “Carolyn” Duval Low, 83, of Social Circle, passed away Jan. 22, 2019. 

She attended Social Circle High School and Augusta University. Carolyn was a member of Social Circle United Methodist Church and former Sunday School teacher and choir member. She was also a Math Teacher at Social Circle High School and Rutledge Academy. She was a Master Point Player of Bridge. She belonged to many bridge clubs and played bridge with people all over the World. Carolyn’s talents were many, she enjoyed crocheting, being a beloved wife of 52 years, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who loved to entertain. She enjoyed holidays with her family. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, George Marion Duval Jr. and Rosebud Wilson Duval, her husband, Jack Walden Low and her brother, George Marion Duval III. She is survived by her Daughter: Virginia Low Phares and husband Robert; Daughter: Rosanne Low Boynton and husband Ricky; Son: Jack Duval Low, Sr. and wife Linda; son: George Burch Low and wife Lucy and daughter: Lisa Carolyn Low: seven granddaughters, three grandsons, 17 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. 

Funeral Services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 25 in the Monroe Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home. The Rev. Kathy Morris will officiate. Interment will follow at Social Circle City Cemetery. The family received friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 24 at Tim Stewart Funeral Home, 209 S. Hammond Drive, Monroe, GA 30655.  770-267-2594.
