Ronnie G. James, of Covington, died peacefully at his home, December 1, 2009, at the age of 54. Mr. James was a member of Living Waters Baptist Church, was formerly employed by General Motors Lakewood Division and after leaving General Motors became a truck driver. He loved music and enjoyed playing instruments, doing yard work, fishing and building. Ronnie will be remembered as a loving and devoted son, father, grandfather and friend. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Carrie and Michael London of Anchorage, AK, Mandy and Brandon Stephens of Gainesville; step-son and daughter-in-law, Marcus and Lisa Carroll; ,10 grandchildren; parents, Bobby and Geraldine James of Covington; sister and brother-in-law, Tammy and Jim Fouts of Covington; brother, Terry James; brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Nancy James; all of Covington; best friend and caregiver, Greta Peed and her 4 children and 6 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mr. James will be held Friday, December 4, 3:00 PM, at the chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, with Rev. Dickie Johnson and Rev. Tim Walden officiating with interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park.
