Ronald Lee Dimery, of Oxford, passed away Monday, November 18, 2013, at the age of 78. He met and married the love of his life, Dottie, at Florida State University, and they were married for 58½ years. Mr. Dimery was an accomplished residential and commercial architect, winning multiple awards for historic preservation. He dearly loved his family and his country. A Boy Scout troop leader, he enjoyed being outdoors and was an adventurer extraordinaire. Mr. Dimery was an Oxford City Council member for many terms, a volunteer firefighter, MYF leader, and was very active in CSI and AIA. His hobbies were traveling to the beach and Kauai, camping, boating and gentleman farming. He was an avid Florida State fan and loved old cars.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Inez Dimery.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Dottie Dimery, of Oxford; daughter and son-in-law, Letha and Lex Betty, of Ocala, Fla.; son, Stuart Dimery, of Oxford; grandchildren, Sam, Josh, and Zach Betty and Matthew and David Dimery; five great-grandchildren; and many beloved friends and family.

A memorial service for Mr. Dimery will be held at 11 a.m. Nov. 23 at Allen Memorial United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Max Vincent officiating. A reception will follow in the church fellowship hall.
