Roberta Denise Chaney was born on July 4, 1965, in Rockdale County to Robert (Alice) Chaney.

She attended Newton County Schools and grew up in the Tex Alley community on Lackey Street, where she was well known. She was an outgoing person who always wore a smile and enjoyed life and spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert (Alice) Chaney and her baby brother, Mr. Robert Chaney Jr.

Roberta will forever be remembered and will continue to hold a special place in the heart of everyone who knew her. She leaves to cherish her memories, daughters, Mr. and Mrs. John (Keyanna) Varner, Ms. Charity Mills, Ms. Bianca Belcher and Ms. Amiracle Chaney; sons, Mr. Quindarius Chaney and Mr. Joshua Chaney; granddaughter, Miss Charlaye Dennis; brother, Mr. Ronnie Chaney; a special devoted friend, Mr. Willie Dennis; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

Funeral Services were held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017 at New Vision Community Ministries, 290 Flat Rock Road, in Oxford, with Pastor Terry Shepherd officiating.
