"Gottow Mighty!" Those probably were the words that escaped his lips when he transitioned on February 24, 2016. Pastor Michael O' Hara Butler, also known as "Mack" was born May 26, 1960 to Mr. James Otis Butler, Sr. and Ms. Polly Evelyn Moreland.

*Michael Butler attended Jackson High School and took up an automotive trade as a young man. On May 11, 1980, he married Mary Rose Butler and they shared 36 years together. They had two daughters. Mike gave his life to Jesus and became a member of Abundant life Church, now known as Cross Culture Curch under the leadership of Pastor Woodrow Walker II. Sometime afterwards, he was led to start a local ministry in his hometown of Jackson, Georgia and thus became the Pastor of Restoration Church International. He believed in the saving power of Jesus and God used him to draw others to Christ.

*Our dad was a hard-working man and took pride in providing for his family. His favortie pasttime was fishing but what he cherished most was spending time with friends and family. He was the life of the party. His laughter would fill a room and delight everyone that heard it. He was also a great storyteller and often relayed extraordinary events from his childhood. And though he loved our mom, he had the biggest crush on Condoleezza Rice and joked that if Condoleezza gave him a chance, he would take it.

* He leaves to cherish his memories, a wife, Mrs. Mary Rose Butler, two daughters; Mr. & Mrs. J.W. (Nicole) Davis and Miss Danielle Butler, four grandchildren; Jaylon, Reonia, Madison and Etha, mother Mrs. Polly Moreland, uncle/father, Mr. & Mrs. Jerry (Annie) Butler, three brothers, Mr. & Mrs. James (Jenetta) Butler, Mr. Jermaine Butler and Mr.& Mrs. George (Nita) Moreland, sister, Mr. & Mrs. Lervictor (Pauline) and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

*Mike would like to let you know that his work here was done. He received a call, sort of an offer you can't refuse, for an appointment from which he will not be returning. This was the promotion that he has talked so fervently about to his congregation. This promotion comes with no strings attached and was the best deal he has ever received. He says he knows it hurts but he is right where he wants to be..... eternally in the presence of the Lord.
