Mrs. Retter Sue Price Bailey, 60, of Blairsville, died Dec. 20. The daughter of the late Hugh Price, she was born in Newton County in 1948. She graduated from Newton County High School in 1966 and was homecoming queen in 1965. Mrs. Bailey attended Harmony Grove Baptist Church, Blairsville, and was a long-time member of Julia A. Porter United Methodist Church. Mrs. Bailey enjoyed crafts and gardening and loved making people laugh. She was loved by everyone who knew her. Mrs. Bailey was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law and friend.

Surviving are husband Keith Bailey, Blairsville; son and daughter-in-law Dr. Garrick and Vicki Bailey, Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law Greta and Joel Miller, Blairsville; mother and stepfather Juritta and Grady Price Allen of Covington; in-laws Mr. and Mrs. Winford Bailey, Blairsville; brothers and sisters Randy Price of Covington, Gary and Jenny Price of Blairsville, Gayle and Rick Walden of Covington, Timmy and Kandy Price of Covington, Tammy and Rob Stell of Madison; grandchildren Tyler and Ashley Bradley, Bailey and Ryleigh Miller, Ashton and Alana Bailey; great-grandchild Cayden Keith Miller.

Funeral services were held Dec. 22 at Julia A. Porter United Methodist Church with Pastor John Ozly and Pastor Stacy Dyer officiating. Interment was at Harmony Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Blairsville. Mrs. Bailey's grandsons and brothers served as pallbearers.
