Reba Louise McCart

Reba Louise McCart of Covington went home to glory peacefully on September 1, 2015. She was born in Butts County on May 14, 1916. She was a faithful member and Sunday School teacher at Lovejoy United Methodist Church, where she had many friends. Reba lived happily on a dairy farm with her husband and two children for decades and then later in Covington. She was preceded in death by her husband E.M. McCart; parents Walter and Pearl White; brothers Lamar White, Lewis White, and “Buddy” White; sisters Carolyn Green, Lucy Wilson, and Vivian White. She is survived by children Bill (Judy) McCart and Eugenia Smith; sister Wyolene Chafin; grandchildren Jennifer (Leslie) McNeal, Jason (Celia) McCart, David Smith, and Marshall (Ann) McCart; great grandchildren L.V. (Christie) McNeal, Roun McNeal, Chloe Anderson, Riley Anderson, and Laney McCart; and great-great grandchild Vaughn McNeal.

Memorial services will be held on Sept. 4 at 2 p.m. at Lovejoy United Methodist Church with visitation preceding at 1:15 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Lovejoy Church.
