Quillian Elijah "Junior" Reagin passed away, at home, Sunday, September 18, 2011, surrounded by his wife and children after battling Parkinson's for 6 years.

 

Junior, as he was known, was born in Conyers, GA, on August 2, 1930, to Laura Mae Mills and Q.E. Reagin, Sr., and was pre-deceased by both. He was honorably discharged from the Army in 1953, after serving in the Korean Conflict. While visiting family in Elberton, GA, he met his beloved wife, Fay, and they married in September 1953. He began a career with American General Insurance and retired as a District Manager after 34 years. After retiring from AGI, Junior worked 11 years for Food Depot, retiring after being diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2005. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening; but most of all he loved spending time with his family.

 

Mr. Reagin is survived by his wife, Fay Reagin; daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Johnny Bruce, all of Covington; sons and daughters-in-law, Kelly and Marian Reagin of Juliette, GA, Tracy and Linda Reagin, Scott and Marci Reagin, all of Covington; 10 grandchildren, Nicole, Nicholas, Melissa, Melinda, Ben, Clint, Benjamin, Kayla, Daniel, Dalton; 2 great-grandchildren, Alyssa and Jaden; several nieces and nephews.

 

The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 21, 2011, from 5:00-8:00 PM, at the Reagin home, 6127 Newton Drive, in Covington. Additional parking is available at Heritage Insurance Agency, located beside the Reagin home.
