Peggy Knox, age 79, of Covington, passed away December 2, 2014. Mrs. Knox was a soft-spoken lady, with a gentle spirit and caring heart. She enjoyed playing bridge and dining out at nice restaurants. Additionally, she was an exceptional cook, and was known for her delicious pancakes and biscuits. Mrs. Knox cherished her family and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her loving and devoted husband of 61 years, D.L. “Pete” Knox; children and their spouses, Dalton and Lisa Knox of Covington, Joanna and Curt Duncan of McDonald, Tennessee, Melissa and Jason McCarthy of Covington; grandchildren, Hunter and Anna Knox, Catherine, Julia and William Duncan, Harrison, Carter and Truman McCarthy; sister, Joan Kilgore; sister-in-law, Margie Lackey.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Knox will be held Friday, Dec. 5, 2014, 11 a.m., at Eastridge Community Church, in Covington, with Pastor Scott Moore, Rev. Dr. Susan Taylor and Jim Weadick officiating. Interment followed in Starrsville United Methodist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Starrsville United Methodist Church, 2809 Dixie Road, Covington, GA 30014; Newton Medical Center - General Fund, 5126 Hospital Drive, Covington, GA 30014; or the Leukemia Society of Georgia, 3715 Northside Parkway, Building 400, Suite 300, Atlanta, GA 30327.
