      Ms. Shelia Arlethia Heard was born September 8, 1954 to the late Mr. L.C. Heard and Ms. Lillie Ruth Farley.

     Shelia was a wonderful mother, sister, and friend. On Saturday, June 14, 2014 she departed this earthly home for her heavenly home.

     She was preceded in death by her father, Mr. L.C. Heard, mother Ms. Lillie Ruth Farley, and brother, Mr. Ruben Jackson.

     Shelia attended school in Newton County; she also graduated from Artistic Beauty College. She joined Bethlehem Baptist Church at an early age, where she served in the choir, usher board, and jail ministry. She was a mentor to many.

     She leaves to cherish her memories; a loving son, Mr. & Mrs. Darrick (Ardra) Maddox; five grandchildren, Audrianna McKnight, Kwint Maddox, Shavez Vasquez, Kamaure Maddox, and Arvion Maddox; eight siblings, Ms. Shirley Heard, Ms. Loretta Heard, Mr. Dwayne Farley, Ms. Sandra Farley, Ms. Davelyn Farley, Mr. & Mrs. Cornelius (Greta) Heard, Ms. Chelle Jackson, and Ms. Bridgette Farley; special aunt, Ms. Lizer Jackson; god father; Mr. Arthur Farley, god-sister, Ms. Rachel Hardy; god daughter, Ms. Stephanie Lee; and a host of  aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
