  Mrs. Tempie Ruth Fears Hollingsworth was born March 23, 1919 in McDonough, Georgia the youngest of eleven, to Jesse and Sarah Fears. She received her education at Henry County Training School. At an early age she was baptized at Shiloh Baptist Church.

     In 1937 she and Clarence Hollingsworth were joined in marriage. They resided in Covington, Georgia. where she joined her husband in serving God at Richard's Chapel United Methodist Church. To this union a son was born, who lived 14 month and preceded them in death.

     Tempie faithfully served in many capacities at the church to include Communion Stewardess Chairperson and assisting in church beautification. After 68 years of marriage, Clarence went to be with the Lord.

     When in her later years her health began to fail, she moved to Atlanta and spent her last 13 years living with her devoted and caring niece, Carolyn..

     Tempie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son and all other siblings.

She leaves to mourn and remember her fond memories, five generations of nieces and nephews, a sister-in-law, Mrs.  Mattie Ruth Hollingsworth and a host of  other relatives and friends.
