Mrs. Marion Crenshaw Henderson, age 85, of Covington passed away March 28, 2015.  She was born November 3, 1929 in Walton County, Georgia to James Leonard and Mary Irene Chandler Crenshaw.  Mrs. Henderson was a people person; she worked as a cashier for many years, first at the Old Hickory House and then for Jim Stalvey at both the Crest Restaurant and Stalvey’s Restaurant.  She was the oldest member of Solid Rock Baptist Church and volunteered at the food ministry every week.  Mrs. Henderson was a loving wife, mother, grandmother great grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.  She was preceded in death by her husband Ray Henderson and her son Alan Henderson.

Mrs. Henderson is survived by her daughter and sons-in-law; Joy and Buddy Gilbert of Covington,  Kae and Stan Adams of Conyers and Robin and Kenny Prichard of Tybee Island along with seven grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.  She is also survived by her sister-in-law Mary Ward of Monroe and her niece and best friend Audrey Owens of Covington along with numerous other nieces, nephews, family and close friends.   

Funeral services for Mrs. Henderson will be held at 2 o’clock Monday, March 30, 2015 at Solid Rock Baptist Church with Reverend Mike Franklin officiating.  Interment will follow at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery in Newborn.  The family will receive friends from 4:00pm until 6:00pm on Sunday, March 29, 2015 at J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home.  J.C.
