Mrs. Jack (Dot) Christian, loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, died December 29, 2008, at the age of 83. Mrs. Christian was a member of The Eastern Star. She loved children and served as Sunday School Superintendent at Trinity United Methodist Church for 30 years, taught kindergarten at The Little Red School House, and retired from Porterdale Elementary School. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hiriam Jewel and Bernice Cook Baxter. Survivors include her husband, Jack Christian of Covington; children, Warren and Colleen Christian of Oxford, Danny and Jan (Christian) Neal of Covington, Dwain Christian of Delray, CO; daughter-in-law, Ellen Loskoski of Midway, GA; grandchildren, Christian Bennett, Dallas Christian, Ryan Bennett, Luke Christian; sister, Betty Blankenship of Covington; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Mrs. Christian will be held Friday, January 2, 2009, 2:00 PM, at the chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Rd., with Rev. Rob Langford and Rev. W.A. Childers, Jr., officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Rd., Thursday, January 1, 2009, from 6:00-8:30 PM.
