Obituary

On June 28, 1931, in the mist of summer, God decided to increase the Lillie's of His Valley. Out of all the Lillie's created that summer day, one appeared in the home of the late Mr. & Mrs. Claude Lackey. They called her Hazel.

The family who God placed her with lived in Newton County, Covington, Georgia, where she was educated in the Counties School System.

On September 4, 1948, she was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Deacon John Doll Tuggle. Their marriage was blessed with three children; Johnny, Linda Diane and Jerry. She was preceded in death by a loving son-in-law, Rev. James W. Stanley.

At a young age Hazel dedicated her life to Christ, by joining Springfield Baptist Church, Covington, Georgia, where she served as an usher and on the Mother's Board. Years later she joined Bald Rock Baptist Church, Conyers, Georgia and recommitted her life to Christ.

She dedicated thirty plus years outside of the home, providing for her family as well as herself, working at Lithonia Lighting, Conyers, Georgia. Hazel was a highly respected member in the City of Covington. She leaves a loving family to cherish her memory; three children, Mr. & Mrs. Johnny (Gay) Tuggle, Covington, Georgia, Mrs. Linda Diane Stanley, Jonesboro, Georgia and Mr. & Mrs. Jerry Lee (Noreen) Tuggle, Covington, Georgia, five grandchildren, Mr. & Mrs. Richard (Lisa) Griffin, Covington, Georgia, Mr. & Mrs. Kenneth (Wetonia) Lynch Sr., Jonesboro, Georgia, Mr. & Mrs. Shelton (Sherica) Dyer, Covington, Georgia, Mr. Brandon Tuggle, Covington, Georgia and Mr. Travis Stanley, Atlanta, Georgia, one great grandchild, Kyler Ray, one sister, Mr. & Mrs. Willie (Claudia Mae) Banks, Covington, Georgia, one sister-in-law, Mrs. Nancy Lackey, Grenada, Mississippi, one unwearied nephew, Mr. & Mrs. Willie Marvin (Katheryn) Banks, Covington, Georgia, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many devoted friends.
