MONK Mrs. Geneva Neely (Bentley) Monk age 82, of Covington died on Wednesday, April 21, 2010.  She was born in Newton County on December 31, 1927 to the late Doctor Means and Emily (Neely) Bentley. Mrs. Monk worked for HUD for twenty two years. She loved to cook and sew.  She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.  Mrs. Monk was a member of Shiloh Methodist Church and Grace Covenant Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Julian Bentley and Brasher Bentley; sister: Mary Wright. Mrs. Monk is survived by her husband: Leonard Rodney Monk of Covington; sons and daughters-in-law: Timothy and Janet Monk of Marietta, Kerry and Gloria Monk of Duluth; daughter: Susette Monk of Covington; sisters and brother-in-law: Betty and Frank Burgin of Covington, Diane Bentley of Monticello; grandchildren: Natalie Harris, Bentley Monk, Whitney Monk and Haley Monk. The family will receive friends at Wheeler Funeral Home on Thursday, April 22, 2010 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM.  Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Wheeler Funeral Home at 2:00PM on Friday, April 23, 2010. Interment will follow at Shiloh Methodist Church Cemetery.    Rev. Sam Lalaian and Rev. Tom Dues will officiate the services.
