Mrs. Cheryl Davis Daniel, age 91, of McDonough passed away October 22, 2014. Cheryl was born in Griffin, the daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin Davis and Ethel Florence Crumbley Davis. She was preceded in death by several siblings, Bennie Carmichael, Stan Davis, Don Davis and Darryl Davis.

Cheryl was a member of Snapping Shoals United Methodist Church where she served her church as Treasurer and in all areas as needed. In her younger years she was very athletic and a good basketball player. She enjoyed spending time with family, friends and loving her grandchildren. Cheryl was a good cook and was known for her banana pudding and peanut butter balls. She spent a lot of time canning, freezing and crocheting. Survivors are her husband, Alton Daniel of McDonough; children, Wendy Cronan Elrod (Mark) of McDonough, Kim Cronan Higdon (Doug) of Greensboro, Glenn Daniel (Laura) of California, and Jason Daniel (Monica ) of Forsyth; grandchildren, Corey Daniel, J.D. Higdon, Will Elrod, Marlee Elrod, Laura Beth Higdon, and Abby Daniel; sisters, Joy Davis Austin (Larry) and Claire Davis Brown (Sammy) of Locust Grove; aunt, Bonnie Turner (Jack) of McDonough; numerous loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral service for Cheryl was Saturday, Oct. 25, 2014 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with Rev. Lawrence Lockett officiating.
