The late Mr. & Mrs. Johnson (Inez Benton) Nolley was blessed with a gift from God on Sept. 27, 1925. A baby girl they named Beulah Kate Nolley. She was the baby out of six.             

Beulah was raised and educated in Jasper County. She later moved to Newton County where she married the late Jonah Glover. They were blessed with four beautiful children, two boys and two girls. Early in life, Beulah accepted the Lord as her Savior to lead and guide her on life’s journey. Beulah was a loyal and devoted member of Prospect Liberty C.M.E. Church, where she served many years on the Mother’s Board until her release from Earth to Heaven. 

Beulah was known to many as “Grandma,” she was a pillar in the Harristown Community. Beulah served as the Harristown Community Playground Manager. She enjoyed fishing, watching WWE Wrestling, Atlanta Braves Baseball, Jerry Springer and Maury Povich. 

Early Sunday morning, Oct. 28, 2018, Beulah departed from her earthly home and moved to her heavenly home. She is preceded in death, by one son, Mr. Jerome Smith; one grandson, Christopher Wade, Sr., five siblings proceeded her in death, Ms. Lilly Bell Nolley, Mr. Paul Nolley, Mrs. Eloise Nolley Morris, Mr. Richard Nolley and Mr. O’Neal Nolley.

Beulah leaves to cherish her precious memories, her children, Mr. & Mrs. James (Elizabeth) Rainey, Mr. & Mrs. Levon (Emma) Smith and Ms. Gloria Wade; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Mildred Smith; 12 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 21 great-great-grandchildren. A devoted caregiver, Ms. Carleen Boone and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral service was held at 3 p.m. at New Prospect Liberty CME Church, at 21141 Highway 11 N, Monticello, GA 31064, with the Rev. Dwahn D. Turner and the Rev. Akono Ekundoyo officiating. Interment and repast followed. 

The family of the late Mrs. Beulah K. Nolley Glover wishes to express our many thanks for your kindness, the calls, visits, flowers or whatever you shared with us during our time of bereavement. Your love and all acts of kindness were very comforting and appreciated. Thanks, and may God keep blessing you all.
