Mrs. Annette Loyd, of Lexington, South Carolina formerly of Covington, GA passed away August 30, 2012.  She was born July 27, 1918 in Covington, GA to the late C.C. and Lavinia Landrum Jones Worsham.  Mrs. Loyd was a charter member of the Cotton Bowl Quilting Guild, a former member of First Baptist Church of Covington, GA a former member of Fidelis-Estherion Sunday School Class, First Baptist Church of Covington, GA.  A.member of Lexington Baptist Church, Lexington, SC, and was retired from Lithonia Lighting where she worked as a receptionist.  She was preceded in death by her husband James E. Loyd.

 

Mrs. Loyd is survived by her daughters and son-in-law; Audrey Smith of Temple, GA and Eileen and Bill McGill of Lexington, SC.  She is also survived by her brother and sisters-in-law; Hugh and Mary Worsham, of Richmond Hill, GA and and Gloria Worsham, of Watkinsville, GA  and grandchildren Denise Frix (George), Collette Frix, Steve Frix.  Deborah Burns and Andrea Drutis (Steve). Great-grand children Devin, Nickolas, Lindsay, Noah Drutis, Courtney Bond, Nickolas Frix.  Three great-great grand children.

 

Graveside services for Mrs. Loyd will be held at 1 o’clock Saturday, September 1, 2012 at the Covington City Cemetery with Doctor Carlisle Driggers.  The family will receive friends at J. C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm prior to the service.  Those desiring may make donations to the First Baptist Church Building Fund.  J.C.
