                                                                                  Obituary
The late Mr. & Mrs. Andrew Lett Sr. (Rosie Smith) gave birth to their fourth child, a son whom they named Thomas Bobby James Lett who was born May 22, 1936. He was known as "Thomas Lett" born in Gwinnett County. The family later moved to Morgan County where Thomas was raised and attended school.

In 1955, Thomas moved to Atlanta, Georgia where he was employed with Mead Corporation for 36 years as a machine operator and supervisor. In 1998, Thomas retired from Mead Corporation. Thomas was admired by his brothers and sisters for his dedication and love he had for their dear mother.  He was a devoted son to his mother. He devoted his time in taking care of his mother during her failing health. Thomas was often called to take his mother to the hospital and doctor appointments. When he was called, he would often say, *I am on my way* with no questions or complaints, but with concern and eagerness to make things better for his mother.  During his spare time he enjoyed hosting card parties and hanging out at the pool hall with friends. In 2007, his failing health brought him to Conyers, Georgia where he was taken care of by Mr. and Mrs. Willie Moses (Emma) Lett.  On October 26, 2014 he departed this earthly world. He is now on his way to join his parents, brothers and sisters the late Mr. Odell Lett; the late Mr. Andrew *MD* Lett; the late Mrs. Josephine Vinson and the late Mrs. Sallie Mae Usher.

Mr. Thomas Lett is survived by two children, Mr. and Mrs. Walter (Kim) Thompson, of Covington, Georgia and Mr. Stanley Johnson, of Atlanta, Georgia; two grandchildren, Martrellis Thompson and Stantavious Johnson; one great grandson, Martrellis Thompson Jr.,  one sister, Mrs. Bessie Lee Shelton, of  Conyers, Georgia; three brothers, Mr. & Mrs. Willie Moses (Emma) Lett, of Conyers, Georgia; Mr. Lester Lett, of Social Circle, Georgia and Mr. & Pastor Troy (Clara) Lett, of Covington, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
