Obituary
Mr. Johnny Lee Smith was born January 17, 1946 in Newton County to the late Mr. & Mrs. Marshall (Louise Hardeman) Smith. He was also known to family and friends as "Bo."
"Johnny" attended Newton County Public School. He joined the Antioch Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia and later attended Truth Seekers International in Covington, Georgia under the leadership of Rev. Noel Humphrey.
"Johnny" was employed with Kraft Food for 25 years and retired from the Newton County School System. He loved visiting the sick, fishing and always kept a part-time job, gardening and helping others.
"Johnny" departed this Earthly life on November 6, 2013. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Ms. Angela Smith and three brothers; Mr. Robert Smith, Mr. Larry Smith and Mr. Grady Smith.
He leaves to cherish his memories, a loving companion, Mrs. Dorothy Smith, three daughters; Mr. & Mrs. William (Trina) Zellars, Ms. Tiffany Smith and Ms. Bianca Smith, three sons; Rev. & Mrs. Willie Smith, Mr. & Mrs. James Smith and Mr. & Mrs. Terry Smith, one brother, Mr. Willie Gene Smith, three sisters; Ms. Rubie Terry, Ms. Nettie Prince and Ms. Gail Smith, ten grandchildren, five great grandchildren, five aunts; Mrs. Lois Williams, Mr. & Mrs. Pleas (Rosie) Nolley, Mrs. Susie A. Benton, Mrs. Margaret Dennis and Mrs. Sarah Cosby, two uncles; Mr. Willie N. Smith and Mr. & Mrs. Mack (Gloria) Barkley and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
