Obituary        

Mr. Huey Avery Jr. was born November 11, 1927 in Morgan County. He was the first born to the parentage of Mr. & Mrs. Huey (Rose Moss) Avery Sr. Huey was the first born of many siblings that preceded him in death.

Mr. Huey was educated in Morgan County Public Schools. Early in life he joined Springfield Missionary Baptist Church, before it was moved to its present location.

In the Early 40's he met and married the love of his life Lenora Reid (Needy), to this union fourteen children were conceived, six boys and eight girls. His wife Lenora Reid and three sons; Mr. Willie George Avery, Mr. James Roger Avery and Mr. Dan Wesley.

Huey had a awesome life, He worked in the fields, He was Truck driver for the Zeiglers Manufactors and later worked over thirty-five years at William Brothers Lumber, where he retired in 1989.

Mr. Huey Avery Jr. leaves to cherish his loving memories, eleven children; Mr. Charlie Avery, Barnesville, Georgia, Mr. Raymond Avery,  Mrs. Sarah Heard, Minister Linda Avery, Mr. Huey H. Avery III, Minister Ella Avery, Mrs. Magnolia Norman, Mrs. Clara Houston, all of Covington, Georgia, Mrs. Dorothy Terrell, Monroe, Georgia, Mrs. Angel Cooksey, Mrs. Stacey Robinson, both of Covington, Georgia, two brothers; Mr. & Mrs. John (Frances) Avery, Covington, Georgia and Mr. Frank Shy, Atlanta, Georgia one sister, Mr. & Mrs. Charlie (Corine) Banks, Covington Georgia, a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Springfield Memorial Garden Newborn, Ga. 30056
