 Mr. Carl Jones Jr., age 77 a longtime resident of Monticello, GA died Saturday, October 4, 2009.  He was born in Emmanuel County Georgia on November 11, 1931 to the late Carl and Emma Samples Jones.  Mr. Jones was a member and former Deacon at Union Hill Baptist Church; he served proudly in the United States Army during the Korean War and enjoyed fishing.  He was preceded in death by his wife Mrs. Mae Jones.   Mr. Jones is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law; Laura and Charles McMichael, of Covington and Beth and Marlin Biggar, of Monticello two sisters Rose Mary Betts, Lewisburg, N.C. and Carlos Ann Robb, Midway, GA a brother Harry L. Jones, Swainsboro, GA.  He is also survived by his grandchildren; Kevin McMichael, Hunter Scoggins and Shelby Mae Biggar.   A memorial service for Mr. Jones will be held at 2:00PM Monday, October 5, 2009 from the Chapel of Wheeler Funeral Home.  Interment will be at West View Cemetery in Monticello, GA.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 noon until service time on Monday.
