Arthur E. Norred, Jr., of Oxford, passed away March 27, 2014, at the age of 67. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam, but was stationed in Germany. Mr. Norred retired from AT&T after 30 years of dedicated service and was a member of Lovejoy United Methodist Church. He was a Georgia Bulldog fan and enjoyed traveling and playing golf with his many friends. He was preceded in death his parents, Arthur E. Norred, Sr. and Lucile Norred.
Survivors include his wife, children, sisters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Visitation for Mr. Norred will be held Sunday, April 6, 2014, 2-4 p.m. at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 3134 Floyd Street, in Covington. A private Graveside Service will be held at a later date in Oxford Historical Cemetery.
