Miss Evelyn Crenshaw, of Covington, died January 24, 2009, at Covington Manor Nursing Home, at the age of 86. Daughter of the late Ralph John and Frances Ivey Crenshaw, she was a lifelong resident of Newton County and assisted with various duties at Berry’s Boat Dock for over 65 years. She was preceded in death by her younger sister, Melba Crenshaw. Survivors include sister, Catherine Berry of Covington; nephews and niece, Bobby Berry of Covington, Ronald and Mary Ann Berry of Monticello; five grandnephews; two grandnieces; two great-grandnephews; three great-grandnieces;. A graveside service for Miss Crenshaw was held Tuesday, January 27, 2:00 PM, at Berry Family Cemetery, with Pastor Charles Roper and Pastor Darrell Payne officiating. Pallbearers were Darren Berry, Robby Berry, Michael Berry, Tony Berry, Jonathan Berry, Levi Berry.
