Mike Wayt, of Mansfield, passed away February 3, 2015, at the age of 51. Mike loved time spent with family. He was a giving man and would help anyone in need; in fact, he was known for his eagerness to intervene whenever there was a crisis. He enjoyed working with his hands and could fix or build anything. He was proud to be associated with various charities, including Food for the Poor and Jewish Voice Ministries. He was very energetic, and he was a man of great faith in his later years.
Survivors include his wife, Cindee Wayt; daughter, Jaymee Wayt, both of Mansfield; sons and daughter-in-law, T.J. Wayt of Macon, Michael, Jr., and Manami Wayt of Fort Worth, Texas; grandchildren, Asahi Wayt, Sully Wayt; parents, Walter and Maxine Wayt of Covington; brothers and sister-in-law, Tim and Lisa Wayt of Mansfield, Jeff Wayt of Covington; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mike were held Saturday, Feb. 7, 2015 at 2 p.m., at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Rick Jackson officiating, and interment followed in Trinity Praise Center Cemetery, in Mansfield. Memorial contributions may be made to Food for the Poor, 6401 Lyons Road, Coconut Creek, FL 33073.
