Mary Margret (Peggy) Lamberson

Mary Margret (Peggy) Lamberson, age 59 of Oxford, Ga., daughter of Willard and Martha Lamberson, both deceased, died peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, August 18, 2015, after a seven year courageous battle against cancer.

Peggy was born November 11, 1956, at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta and lived her life in this area graduating from Agnes Scott College while majoring in Art History. She also attended the University of Toronto Master’s program in Baroque Dance, excelling in both teaching and performance. She started her career as a stewardess for Delta Airlines and retired as a technical writer for Delta Technologies in Atlanta. As an accomplished horsewoman, she successfully competed in both Eventing and Dressage. She was a valued member, competitor and volunteer for many equestrian organizations including the United States Eventing Association, the Georgia Dressage and Combined Training Association, the United States Pony Club, Poplar Place Farm and Ashland Farm.

She will be sorely missed by her many friends, including her cousins Scott and Kay Fitkin of Charleston, South Carolina and brother John Lamberson of Montana. In keeping with her belief in medical science, her body was donated for cancer research. Her life will be celebrated at a later date.
