Mrs. Mary Ellene Rosser, 91, of Covington passed away peacefully at home on Friday, October 23, 2015. Ellene was born in Monticello, Georgia to the late Henry and Lillie Mae Thomas. She was preceded in death by her husband of 28 years William Thomas Rosser Sr., who passed away in 1969; brothers Ralph, Raymond and Glenn Thomas; sister Bessie Jean Jones; and son in law Blake McLeod, Jr.

Ellene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and a friend to everyone she met. For 63 years Ellene was part of the Apostolic Pentecostal faith and for 50 years a member of the Apostolic Church Revival Center of Conyers where she taught Christian school and Sunday school for 10 years. Her life was her children, brothers, sisters and church family. She was a great cook and loved flowers, gospel music, and especially her dog, Angel. Ellene read her Bible daily; most of all she loved the Lord.

Ellene is survived by her daughters Sandra McLeod, Deborah Rosser; and sons William Thomas “Butch”(Diane), Richard B. Sr.(Mary), Monty (Karen); “adopted” daughters Rhonda Wilkerson, Connie Kirby; and “adopted granddaughter” Emily Ellene Kirby; brothers and sisters, James Carroll Thomas, Margaret Shaw, Gladys Woodham (Charlie), Evelyn Zimmerman (Rob), Bonnie English (Leslie), Rose Fuller; 15 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren, five great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Monday October 26, 2015 at 11 a..m. at Apostolic Church Revival Center 1882 Irwin Bridge Road, Conyers with Pastor Jonathan Alvear officiating. Mrs. Rosser will lie in state from 10 a.m.-11 a.m. before service. Interment to follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Stockbridge. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, October 25, 2015 from 5 to 8 p.m.
