Marguerite Cecile (Ceci) Mullins, of Covington, passed away Sept. 13, 2018, at the age of 74. After graduating high school, Mrs. Mullins started her college career at Freed-Hardeman University. From there, she attended Middle Tennessee State University before obtaining her master’s degree from the University of Alabama. An educator for 33 years, she taught at numerous schools throughout her career: Fort Payne, Alabama, from 1972-1981; Johnson Elementary, Rome, from 1981-1987; Fairview Elementary, Covington, from 1987-1994. In 2000, Mrs. Mullins put the finishing touches on her remarkable teaching career when she retired from the Gwinnett County School System. She faithfully attended services at Snellville Church of Christ. Mrs. Mullins will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Franklin and Mildred (Patton) Loh.

Survivors include her loving husband, Wayne Mullins; daughter and son-in-law, Tasha and John Yates; son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Rebekah Mullins; grandchildren, Taylor, Ryan, Jackson, Connor, Dawson, Landon, Savannah; brother, Robert Loh; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Mullins will be begin at 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16 at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Bro. Harold Savage and Bro. Bobby Wood officiating. Interment will follow in Lawnwood Memorial Park, Covington. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home, from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15.
