Madison Quinten Hinesley’s life was marked by integrity of character, a passion for service to his country as a career Air Force officer, and pride in his service in Vietnam. A lover of music at a soul depth, he was a John Wesley Methodist to the core and a warm, loving family man who was deeply admired, respected and beloved by his family, his loved ones, his treasured band of brothers and all those whom his life touched.

After 20 years of active duty military, attaining the rank of Lt. Colonel and being awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, his second career was at Standard Telephone in Cornelia. This time was marked by professionalism, distinguished community service and greatly admired leadership in Cornelia United Methodist Church. Quinten will be greatly missed.

Born in Bethlehem, Georgia in 1937, Quinten was the son of Earnest Lamar Hinesley and Frances Coker Lovern and raised by his stepfather John Tinsley Lovern primarily in Covington. He had two siblings, Alice Hinton and John Bruce Lovern.

Quinten is survived by his loving wife Elizabeth (Bette) Hinesley; his daughters Elizabeth Rhett Toth and husband Tibor Toth, Ashley Lamarr Stevens and her husband Robert Bruce Stevens, Christian Lukacs and Barbara Hideg; blessed by treasured step-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, all products of a life lived with grace.

Quinten will be laid to rest in Arlington National Cemetery in Washington at a later date. The family is deeply appreciative of the cards, notes, calls, prayers and love extended for our beloved Quinten.
